HOW TO GET GTX 750, LINUX, AND BLENDER CUDA WORKING

I can't get my damn CUDA to work with Linux 64 Blender!!!

The question really is how to install Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 Ti with Linux Mint 64 bit and how to get CUDA GPU rendering to work with Blender 2.71

This is what my user preferences looked like before I found the secret.

Well, I spent many hours trying to figure out how to do it until I finally found the very easy secret. Learn the CUDA secret.


Ok, here's the secret...

Ok, here's the secret on how to get Linux Blender CUDA working with GTX 750

The secret trick is to simply install Blender 2.72

All you have to do is install Blender 2.72 to get your CUDA working with your GTX 750

1. First you have to install and configure your GTX 750 with Linux. That's the hard part. If you haven't done this yet, then click on the following link: How to install Geforce GTX 750 with Linux

2. Next you have to install Blender 2.71 via the command line. Open up a terminal window and type the following:

   sudo apt-get update

   sudo apt-get upgrade

   sudo apt-get install blender 

3. Lastly, all you have to do is download and extract Blender 2.72. Then you simply open the outer most folder of the Blender 2.72 and locate a file called "blender" and you double click on it to run Blender2.72. You then make a shortcut to this file and place it in your desktop folder.
